Warm-Up
- QuickWrite: Think about yesterday's class, what do you now know about the USA Flag that you didn't know before? Complete this writing in the first 5 minutes of class.
- Show location of Grade Postings in the classroom. Students should regularly check grade posting to make sure that graded papers have been entered properly. ALL graded papers need to be kept; ALL papers are added to the ISN (Interactive Student Notebook) that we are creating.
- Show location of the "Ask Ms. Washington" poster. Students use a sticky note to request individual progress reports, lunch pass, appointment to stay after school, etc. It is another form a communication for them to use.
- Stamp Time Management Log for bringing spiral notebook or 3-ring binder.
- Organize current papers into the ISN (Interactive Student Notebook).
- This is a tool to practice the Success Skill of Organization so students who missed this lesson will need to plan to stay in at lunch or after school as soon as possible to start creating this resource correctly.
