Warm-Up
  1. On ISN pg. 1.6 Sketch the Statue of Liberty; around it write down things that you know about this monument.  Voluntary share.
  2. ISN Cover assignments due; Rotating Gallery to see classmates artwork!

Words of Wisdom - Cornell Notes
USA Symbols:  The Statue of Liberty video.  Focus today on determining what things are important vs. what is interesting.  Important things tell us what a symbol means and is information that is important now and in the future. 

Download - becomes homework if not finished in class
  1. Create 3-5 (7 for a challenge) Study Questions that can be answered using the notes you created during the video.  Use who/whose, where, when, why, how, which as question starters.  Use these questions to study your notes.

  2. Finish the Cornell Notes by writing a main idea statement.  Use this sentence starter if you need to, "The most important point of this lesson is..."
