Tuesday
MEAP Testing - Class periods shortened, STATION WORK
  1. Attach ISN Covers
  2. Organize ISN (paste in papers, page numbers, page titles and dates, table of contents)
  3. Finish "Price of Citizenship" Cornell study questions and main idea statement
  4. T1W, 12 lines or more, ISN pg. 2.9, Title:  Price of Citizenship - Why is learning about taxes important?  What do you always want to remember about this reading?
Wednesday

  3. USA Resource Map - Create a USA reference map for your ISN pg. 2-13.  Label the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, & the Gulf of Mexico; color blue.  Draw in the Mississippi River in blue and label.  Label each state and outline in red.  Label Mexico and Canada, color in yellow.
  4. Organize ISN (paste in papers, page numbers, page titles and dates, table of contents)
Thursday - STATION WORK
Homework: Unit 2 Title Page Assignment DUE MONDAY 10/18; see description below
  1. Small Group w/ Mrs. Washington - Practice applying core democratic values to  real-world issues and situations (whiteboard practice, correct answers added to ISN)
  2. USA Resource Map - Create a USA reference map for your ISN pg. 2-13.  Label the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, & the Gulf of Mexico; color blue.  Draw in the Mississippi River in blue and label.  Label each state and outline in red.  Label Mexico and Canada, color in yellow.
  3. Organize ISN (paste in papers, page numbers, page titles and dates, table of contents)
  4. Unit 2 Title Page Assignment DUE MONDAY 10/18 
    • Write the title of the unit (you have to create it)
    • Create at least two illustrations symbolizing important ideas or themes from the unit
    • Write a one sentence caption for each illustration
    • Wrie a 3-5 sentence summary, a brief description of all the learning in this unit
    • Correct conventions
    • Neast and easy to read - visually appealing
Friday
Warm-Up Questions:  ISN pg. 2.13.  What state has a capital city that lies between two large lakes?  What state has the longest Atlantic Ocean coastline?  What state is surrounded on three sides by freshwater?
