Declaration of Independence Reading Challenge and create Web style notes on ISN pg. 25.  Locate the primary source document, The Declaration of Independence, in the textbook.  Use a "scan & skim" card and the Declaration to answer the questions:
  1. In what year was the Declaration adopted?
  2. What parts have historians divided the document into?
  3. What did the colonists believe was the purpose of government?
  4. According to the colonists, where does the power of the government come from?
  5. What did the King repeatedly violate?
