Use you Non-Fiction reading strategy to read "The Constitutional Convention" article. Create Cornell Notes of the important information.

Creating the Constitution
  1. "SSSHHHH We're writing the Consititution" video clip showing the opening of the convention.
  2. Guided practice on non-fiction reading strategy and Cornell notes with the reading, "The Constitutional Convention" from History Alive!
Non Fiction Reading Steps
1.  Look @ graphics & read captions
2.  Read the title & headings
3.  Turn the headings into questions (write in question side of Cornell Notes)
4.  READ for answers
5.  Underline key words as you read - these words are needed to answer your
     questions
6.  Create bullet point notes to answer question - @ least one per paragraph
          *NO SENTENCES
          *use abbreviations, txt language, diagrams, pictures, etc.
