  • Pretend we are delegates at the Constitutional Convention.  Using your knowledge, debate the questions, " How should the states be represented in the legislative branch?"  Discussion uses modified parlimentary procedure and student speak in formal language.
  • Read, "The Great Compromise" from the America textbook.  Create a diagram of The Great Compromise on the "special Constitutional Convention parchment paper". 
5th Hour
  • Examine a chart showing the population of southern states in 1787.  Check and review notes on article, "Slaves - People or Property?"
  • Pretend we are delegates at the Constitutional Convention.  Using your knowledge, debate the questions, "Should the slaves be counted as people for representation in the House of Representatives?"  Discussion uses modified parlimentary procedure and student speak in formal language.
