Use 4-Door Foldable to complete handout, Under the Constitution. . . Get a parent (adult) signature.

Geography Skills:  Physical Maps
Use map in of southwest United States to answer the questions below. TTQA, Type 1 Writing, 8+ lines 
  1. Identify at least one river that flows through New Mexico.
  2. Describe the path of the Colorado River.

The Game of Life as a U.S.A. Citizen - How are the Powers Separtated?
Students scan and skim key words in primary source Constitution of the United States and secondary side notes to identify what branch has the power presented.  Individuals read, team discussion and whiteboard presentation.
  1. Problem is projected on screen and "Waldo" word is identified.
  2. Person 1 scans Article I front to back, Person 2 scans Article II, Person 3 scans Article III, Person 4 scans Article I back to front. (teacher coaches students/teams)
  3. Individuals share when answer is located, teammates read and agree or keep reading.  When team agrees on answer, write on whiteboard.
  4. Boards are presented when time is up and scored.
  5. Correct answer is reviewed and students record in 4-Door foldable.
  6. Continue steps 1-5 for each power problem presented.
